Thursday, September 22
Noon — 1:30 p.m. – Taste of Oktoberfest inside Capital Square
Thursday, September 22nd we will host a "Taste of Oktoberfest" event inside Capital Square from noon – 1:30. The first 100 on hand will receive a free lunch of Bratwurst, chips and soda. Following that, the price for that combo will be $5. We will also have free samples of Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest beer. The Strudl Haus will be there selling authentic German Strudl and the German American Heritage Society will be on hand with a genealogy booth where people can learn more about their German roots. The Polka Club of Iowa will provide the entertainment as they provide a polka dancing demonstration. The event is designed to remind folks that Oktoberfest is being held the following two days downtown.
